When a prompt asks about your community

Community prompts invite a default answer about a neighborhood or school, which is what most applicants write. The stronger answers define community more precisely and less obviously.

Your community might be the four people in your robotics club, the regulars at the restaurant where you work, an online group around something you make, or your extended family's weekly routine.

What matters is showing your specific role in it. Committees are trying to learn how you behave among other people, and a small, precisely described community shows that better than a broad one.
