The scholarship calendar, rebuilt for the year ahead

One document, every deadline, two-week warnings. Build it in July.
One document, every deadline, two-week warnings. Build it in July, when there's time and nothing is due.
Work from a single source rather than several. A calendar split across a notes app, a spreadsheet, and your memory is three systems that each fail differently. Put everything in the calendar that already notifies your phone.
Enter each deadline with the award name and the amount in the title. When a busy week arrives, you want to be able to triage at a glance rather than opening six tabs to remember what's at stake.
Set two alerts on everything: three weeks out and four days out. The first is when work starts, the second is the last point at which finishing something already begun is realistic.
Add the dates that aren't deadlines but govern them. When the FAFSA opens. When your counseling office closes for break. How long your school takes to send a transcript. These are what make an achievable deadline impossible without warning.
Include the recurring ones. Monthly no-essay draws and rolling awards can be entered repeatedly, and a recurring calendar event converts them from a thing you forget into a five-minute habit.
Then re-verify each date when its three-week alert fires. Roughly a third of published scholarship deadlines shift or are listed stale somewhere, and the alert is the natural moment to check the official page.
