Applying to scholarships as an undocumented or DACA student

Undocumented and DACA students are ineligible for federal financial aid, which makes private scholarships and state-level programs the primary avenues.

TheDream.US runs one of the largest scholarship programs specifically for this population. Golden Door Scholars funds high-achieving undocumented students and connects them with employer partners. Several states, including California and Texas, offer in-state tuition and state aid regardless of status.

Read eligibility carefully and look for programs that explicitly say citizenship is not required, rather than assuming exclusion from silence.
